Mount Olive’s Junior Youth Group is for young people in the 6th and 7th grades. From September through May, we gather on Sunday evenings at 6:00pm for a game or other high-energy activity. From 6:30-7:30pm, we take part in “Confirmation Instruction” with Pastor Jeff Alexander.
Mount Olive’s Confirmation Program is a two-year course that provides an overview of the entire Bible, followed by an interactive study of the Ten Commandments, the Apostles’ Creed, the Lord’s Prayer, Baptism and Communion using Luther’s Small Catechism. The Confirmation Program culminates with “Confirmation Sunday,” held each year in the month of May, when those who have completed the program publicly confess their faith in Jesus Christ and commit to a life of Christian discipleship.
In addition to the Confirmation Program, Junior Youth Group activities, servant events and field trips are scheduled periodically throughout the year.
