Pastor Jeff Alexander has been the pastor of Mount Olive Lutheran Church in Greenwood, Indiana since September 23, 2007.
Jeff was born on June 21, 1979 to parents Bill and Raydine Alexander of Edwardsville, Illinois. Throughout his life, Jeff has been blessed through Lutheran education, beginning with Trinity Lutheran School (1982-1993) and Metro East Lutheran High School (1993-1997) in Edwardsville. During his high school years, God planted in Jeff’s heart a desire to creatively communicate the Gospel of Christ and to serve Christ through the pastoral ministry.
Following high school graduation, he entered into the pre-seminary program at Concordia University in Seward, Nebraska, studying biblical languages and earning a bachelor of arts degree in communications in 2001. Also in 2001, Jeff married Heather Boche, a Wyoming native who earned her education degree at Concordia Nebraska.
In the fall of 2001, Jeff and Heather moved to St. Louis, where Jeff began his studies at Concordia Seminary. During the 2003-2004 academic year, he served as a vicar (pastoral intern) at Trinity Lutheran Church in Litchfield Park, Arizona (suburban Phoenix). Following graduation from the seminary in 2005, the Alexanders returned to Trinity, Litchfield Park, where Jeff served as associate pastor until accepting the Call to serve Mount Olive in September 2007.
The Alexanders are blessed to have three sons—Nathan Jeffrey, 4, Micah William, 2, and Noah Warren, who was born on July 7, 2008.
The Alexanders are enjoying the Hoosier State and love being a part of the Mount Olive family!
