Mount Olive Lutheran Church exists to bring all people into a living relationship with Jesus Christ through fervent worship, caring relationships, spiritual growth, service and outreach.

Value 1: The good news of Jesus (the Gospel) is the power of God to save people.
We boldly proclaim the Gospel through the preaching and teaching of the Word of God, Baptism, and the Lord's Supper.
The core teaching of the Christian faith is that we are saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ.
We will communicate the Gospel in all its truth and purity, properly distinguish Law and Gospel, and celebrate the "Real Presence" of Jesus, so that God will continue to speak through His Word to mold and shape our hearts and lives.
Ephesians 2:8-9
For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith--and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God--not by works, so that no one can boast.
Value 2: All people matter to God, and therefore, they matter to Mount Olive.
We will do whatever it takes to reach people with the Gospel.
We make it our aim to equip every Christian to be a missionary to all people in "their world".

Jesus said, "For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him."
Value 3: Every member will pursue ongoing growth through the Word, prayer and worship.
We will provide opportunities for ongoing Bible Study, prayer vigils, seminars, and training opportunities to assist people in reaching their full potential and living in the security of God's grace.
Living a Christian life involves ongoing spiritual transformation so that Christ is "formed in us" (Galatians 4:19).

Value 4: Forgiving, loving relationships will permeate every aspect of church life.
Forgiveness is one of the most difficult things on earth, but it is at the heart of God's plan and, therefore, at the heart of our church.
We will prayerfully R.E.A.C.T. to conflict through Relationships, Encouragement, Accountability, Communication, and Trust, according to Jesus' words in Matthew 18:15-20.

Value 5: Families play a vital role in building the foundation of a life-long relationship with Jesus.
We make it our aim to nurture and strengthen families.

Value 6: God wants every believer to identify and utilize their spiritual gifts and talents to serve Jesus and to impact His church, their community, and the world.
We help people to discover God's purpose and to find a meaningful area of service for their life as they identify and utilize their time, talents and treasures for the glory of God.

Value 7: Life-change happens when people are connected to one another in Christ.
We provide ongoing care and support, encouragement and accountibility to one another through involvement in Christ-centered groups and activities.
